Rockin the Cradle: Egypt
Haters.... be civil and keep it to yourself...
I stayed in the Mena House in 1979... The elevator in the wing my room was in was out of service.... so down the stairs my gf and I went... On the back of the first floor door was scrawled "long live the" and a skull and lighting sticker... crap I'm to young to be nostalgic...

1978 and 1979 were wild and crazy years. It would be fun to write a book about it, but the names would have to be changed.

Of course I wasn't in Egypt, but I did make it to the closing of Winterland at the end of the year. The Dead started with Sugar Magnolia at midnight and ended with Sunshine Daydream at 6AM. 3 sets, including Dark Star. What a show.
