Tis the season
My wife and daughters got the tree today. Started raining just as they left the house.
Didn't even make it to the woods. They decided this one beside the driveway would do. Merry Christmas.

a few years ago i heard of locales that sprayed trees with something that would really stink up the place when they got indoors at room temp.
