Fed Up with FedEx

Had the same problem. I ordered a Christmas present for the wife last week and paid for 2 day delivery to make sure it got here before today (Christmas Day). According to FedEx's tracking site, the package was on the truck yesterday but never made it to the house. It is now sitting back at the FedEx shipping center! I expect they will deliver it tomorrow and I will be waiting to give the driver an earful!

To be fair I doubt it's the drivers fault, give blame further up the chain. My guess is they were way overbooked again not the drivers fault. My wife is currently steaming over a USPS package that was supposed to get here yesterday. It's not the end of the world there are much bigger issues to get upset over. Enjoy the holiday !

Yup, there are a half dozen PODS dropped in the parking lots of our 2 community centers.

The truck that normally services the community does runs between the distribution center and our community keeping the PODS stocked while 4 other drivers in golf carts do the deliveries.

Frustration, support for workers on social media over delivery delays - TODAY.com
Apparently, all shippers got overloaded this year. I wondered why they didn't work Christmas to satisfy the customer but after reading the article I realized the workers are burned out due to the extra workload and deserved a break. There was even backlash to the complaints like
Quote:

"I drive a UPS truck and worked 10-14 hours a day for a month Strait (sic),'' Bruce Hendrickson wrote on TODAY's Facebook page. "Did not see my wife did not go Christmas shopping and most of the days did not get to eat until night time. You people have no idea what happens inside that brown truck."

Really people? Your packages are late. But you have the $ to buy presents & the loved ones to buy then for. Be grateful! #upsfail #notreally

The trailer rig fits in the truck. That kid looks like he's 16 - I doubt if he's making very much dough.

My brother did a few holiday stints at UPS when he was in college a few years ago. He was assigned to a driver to help run packages.
He actually made decent money for a college kid, and it made good use of the month he was home between semesters.
