Reese Witherspoon and her husband Jim Toth spend their Sunday afternoon together in Venice, where they enjoyed a lunch date at Gjelina. The actress downed two glasses of rose before later driving away, a witness told the Daily News.

On Sunday, the 37-year-old actress enjoyed a late lunch at Gjelina in Venice, Calif. with her husband Jim Toth — and downed some rose.
“She definitely had two glasses,” a witness told the News. The couple dined for about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Witherspoon and her husband were infamously arrested in April, when Witherspoon mouthed off to a policeman arresting Toth for a DUI. Witherspoon got cuffed for disorderly conduct and later apologized.

After lunch, Witherspoon and Toth walked to a nearby store and shopped for “a maximum of 20 minutes,” according to the witness.
Then, they got into a BMW sedan — with Witherspoon behind the wheel.
It’s not the first time that the Louisiana-born actress has mixed alcohol and autos.

In September, Radar Online reported that Witherspoon was drinking red wine at a lunch with girlfriends before hopping in her car and driving home.
But a source close to Witherspoon says the Academy Award winning actress (for "Walk the Line") is a responsible drinker and citizen.
“She personally has never had an issue with drinking and driving,” says the source, who claimed Witherspoon had just one glass of rose — and at the very beginning of the meal.
She didn’t get into the car until at least two hours had passed, the source said.
