Read some of the responses in this thread. You may rethink this.

All he’s saying is that if more people decide to allocate a % of their portfolio to BTC, the price will go up - this is true since the supply is fixed. That’s why the “believers” hype it so much…as long as they convince more people to buy in the price will rise and they can sell into new demand. There is still zero intrinsic worth and basically zero use case unless you are a criminal or money launderer. Pure speculation and I think eventually it’ll be one of the most spectacular crashes and destroyer of wealth of all time. That could take years though before the bottom falls out….

saw someone on twitter saying they lost 800k in $melania, their entire life savings.

steer clear guys, steer clear.

pretty weird to donate your life savings and retirement to the billionaire first lady, but we live in strange times indeed.

a new one is born every minute indeed.

It really is the best grift going right now, and as far as I can tell, it’s basically legal to pump and dump these meme coins? They aren’t securities so I’m not sure what laws apply….I could be wrong there but regardless, hard to imagine any enforcement being brought, especially now. If I had less character, I’d do it myself!

right? the old complaint about government is pork barrel spending leading to corruption and self enrichment ... but why even involve tax payers when you can just use the government for fame and fortune and take the money directly from the rubes?

even better, when you can use tax payer money to run the pump and dump ... steal from everyone, all the time, no matter if they buy in or dont buy in. cause thats the next step, DJT buying into coins WITH the governments money. thats what the bitcoin "strategic reserve" is all about.

like its just so obviously a scam. its just so obviously the emoluments clause. but the very people who claim to hate when politicians use the government to self enrich themselves are the very people using their retirement savings to enrich the politicians, and then LOVE it. and think its freedom or something.

make. it. make. sense.

Yes, as of January 20, 2025 it's practically government policy.

One of my wife's great nephews got his first non fast food job. He is working for some firm that is data mining. They have multiple buildings in various location in small cities in Texas and Oklahoma with hundreds of servers buzzing away. His job is replacing cooling fans, and entire computers when one goes off line. The just send the computer to a rebuild arm of the same company.

It would be really interesting to learn how much the company earns with the investment in infrastructure, electricity use, and employee pay. We will never know, but it must be lucrative.

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has rescinded an accounting rule that forced banks to treat bitcoin and other tokens as a liability on their balance sheets.
The guidance was a major deterrent to Wall Street banks owning bitcoin.

The guidance was a major deterrent to Wall Street banks owning bitcoin — and was the latest in a string of actions taken to make it easier for U.S. companies and financial firms to deal in virtual, decentralized currencies.

I considered investing in bitcoin 6 years ago at $14,000 per coin and should have. I worry about it going to zero for numerous reasons. I invested in precious metals instead. No complaints about that. There must be other stackers here?
