That is quite a tail.

Let's not be too hasty here... Her husband was supposed to get some beer on Christmas Eve and came home empty handed. No court will convict.

If'n he has any smarts at all, next time she asks him to go out and get beer he'll take a little extra cash and just keep going.

Why am I thinking that these are some of the folks that have stopped looking for employment these days.

I can beat that one. I used to work with a guy that if you messed with him when he was mad he would threaten to "stab ya" and once he left a pocket screwdriver in a guys leg at work. On such a day I decided to press my luck and he warned me I was going to get stabbed. I pressed the issue and was stabbed with a glazed doughnut. :)
The trick was to see what he had in his hands when he got mad.
