Are you going? I'd like to but it is the same weekend as POC Cup Races at Willow Springs so I think I'd have to do Saturday concert and Sunday racing so I can get to bed early enough to avoid being a zombie at work on Monday. Edit: Actually, concert Sunday night probably makes the most sense in terms of driving.

Ah McCabes. One of the few things I miss about LA.

I gave you a brand new Ford, but you said " I want a Cadillac"
I bought you a ten dollar dinner and you said "Thanks for the snack"
I let you live in my penthouse, you said "Was just a shack"
I gave you seven children and now you want to give'm back

You know my mother told me the story
About that li'l dog that couldn't see too well
He was crossing a railroad track one day
When a train cut off part of his tail
He turned around but never looked up
Just to peep over the rail
And she said he lost his whole head
Just trying to find a little piece of tail

My only son, I don't think he really know who I am
I said, my only son. I don't think, I don't think he really know who I am
Frankly speaking people, I don't think, I don't think he really give a damn

"Wine and women is all I crave
A big legged woman is gonna carry me to my grave
Born under a bad sign
I been down since I begin to crawl
If it wasn't for bad luck, I wouldn't have no luck at all."

Hold on....I'm coming!

targa911S 12-30-2013 04:48 AM

coffee for my breakfast, shot of whiskey on the side.
it's a dark and dreary morning with the clouds coverin up the sky.
and the forecast calls for pain, the forecast calls for pain,
my baby's leavin home and the forecast calls for pain.

We stayed up all night talking
She's grown restless she confessed
She says there's no one new
But deep down I know that's next

I can hear approaching thunder
I can feel a chill run up my spine
I've seen love leave before
And I know that I'm on borrowed time
the forecast calls for pain, the forecast calls for pain,
my baby's leavin home and the forecast calls for pain.

Tell me whose, baby, whose old muddy shoes I see
Now, tell me whose, baby, whose old muddy shoes I see
They're down at the head of my bed, darling, where my shoes outta be

My baby and I got along just fine, until she went wrong
I woke up in the mornin', she had left from home
Now, tell me whose, baby, whose old muddy shoes I see
Well, down at the head of my bed, darling, where my shoes outta be

Her hair was long and curly, and her teeth shine just like pearl
She wake up in the mornin', she jump just like a squirrel.
Now, tell me whose, baby, whose old muddy shoes I see
Well, they're down at the head of my bed, darling, where my shoes outta be

Now, when I love her in the mornin', she always stay at home
But, now she's gone and left me, she left me all alone.
Now, tell me whose, baby, whose old muddy shoes I see
Well, they down at the head of my bed, where my shoes outta be

The best Blues verse ever:.........baby, meet me with yo black draws on..........

I do not remember who originally wrote and sang this song but it's been covered a lot. Definitely the song to sing when couples are drunk and dancing at a watering hole.

Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker, you can drink all the liquor down in Costa Rica, ain't nobody's business but your own...
