10-7 Ducks up - 2nd Qtr. just started.

At the half........................Ducks lead 20-7.

Texas is running well but dropping too many passes. They need to stick with the run IMHO if they want to prevail.

I think the Ducks get the ball to start the second half as well....

Oregon won decisively - except UT did hold them to some FG's and even a missed FG so there's that.

I really admire Mariota and Coach Brown - both class acts.

After many hours of looking at numerous Oregon cheerleading links (and pictures of cheerleaders :) ) I have come to the conclusion they are just called "University of Oregon Cheerleading"

yup - Duckettes would work. The women's sports teams are usually called the Lady Ducks, and BTW... you may want to check out the women's track team too...


UT would have done much better if they had not had so many injuries this season, they did a pretty good job on UO as the Ducks usually score 40-50 pts. each game.

I was also surprised that the Duck D did so well - really held the bigger UT run down - not just in points (7) but in yardage & downs too -- not to mention 2 pick 6's.

Good news is that Coach Helfrich (a native son) got his 1st season down and will be more experienced at head coach, nearly all players will be back next year, AND Stanford will lose nearly all of their big defense.

But last year (UO played KSU) was THE year for UO to have gone all the way. Alabama got knocked out and no other big SEC team would have played if UO had not lost to Stanford. UO would have played the way over-hyped Noter Damn team and should have slaughtered them. C'est la vie.

Speaking of LSU - they injured our backup QB Tyler Murphy which pretty much sent any chance of us salvaging the season into a tailspin from which we never recovered.

That was a brutal game (LSU vs. UF).

Next year we get our starting QB back (Driskel) and all the other teams are re-loading (except for the Barn or course...they will be a force next year!).

Plus we will have a new O.C. which will help....hopefully........

The best thing is that Mack is gone. Class or not his due date was long passed. UT should have the pick of the litter for a coach. I'm hoping Briles but who knows. They can pay more than anyone, have the best facilities, and should have an uptick in recruits. Mack said several years ago he listened to rap music so he could be more in tune with his "boys". Really?

They also missed Andrew Luck, RGIII and Manziel and ???
