Screw the whole " Next year is gonna be different" To me, " resolutions" are just a piss poor excuse to put off something you really don't wanna do.
When you wake up on on January 1st, nothing is going to be magically different then any other day. It's gonna be the same as today or tomorrow.

You've clearly had a normal life Vin. My life is weird; it's not normal. There are periods when it's sort of normal, some roller coaster, some bad, some great. My last great year was 1994. It was like living in a movie scripted just for you. What was interesting was I woke up on Jan 1, 1994 and instantly thought to myself, "this is my year." And it was. Everything I did turned to gold. Without trying. It was like my Porsche luck, but covered every aspect of my life that year. It was fun. 2000 is a close second and 2001 - 2003 were really good years, again, scripted for me, though I wrote some of those years myself. The last 10 years have been all over the place. The last 2 have been hard years with some bright spots. There are times I wish I were normal.
2014 is going to be a good year.
