TimT 12-31-2013 05:49 PM

Yes they are....

The burgers are low hanging fruit...

Burgers are not the horribly unhealthy food many make them out to be. Take a steak and some veggies and some bread.....same thing really......The worst thing about the burger from a weight loss perspective is the carb load of the bun....And beer, awe man beer is a staple of the happy mans diet!!!!!
That being said, weight loss can be a challenge so good luck to you!!! Heres to happy healthy living!!!!

I agree with that. Nothing like a few beers and a couple of burgers. However the fat content of burger is high. The burger bun is generally white and has no fibre unless you get a whole wheat bun. My wife is a dietician. She reminds me of fat content plus the bloodwork reflects cholesterol levels. If it tastes good to me it has either fat or sugar in it or both.....

When I am 80 yo and not in an old folks home I am going to say to myself
- if I knew I was going to live this long I would have drunk more beer, more wine, eat more burgers, more pizzas...

Therein lies the choice - be here for a good time and short time or a long time and be less happy.....:)

I have just taken this pic of our back yard and it is -17C.
I am considering buying a snowblower rather than use our neighbor's...

All American Menu

All-American is about 3 minutes from my house (if the lights are in my favor).... 1/4lb burger w/cheese is $3.00 + fries and a drink = $6.00, they just recently raised prices. It was $5 and change this summer

And they are so damn tasty....I usually cruise by once a week....my plan is to make it a once a month treat..

Maybe I'll drink less Belgian beer... that still leaves me with a world of other beers to try :p

When I'd question her eating habits, old g/f from Alabama would say, "Donnie, I don't want to live that long." :)

Never tried an All American Burger. The best burger around here is Five Guy's.

Don Ro 01-02-2014 01:42 PM

5 guys ain't bad.
The problem with chain burger joints - and maybe most burger joints - is that they have to cook the meat well done.
Out here, sole proprietorships can cook the meat to order which makes them tastier...also, better quality of meat, etc.

My thoughts exactly. I'm so sensible with my eating and drinking that a once a fortnight/once a month session "eat drink" anything won't do any harm.
