What are "battery cable" nuts called?

I'm talking about the ones with a round sort of shoulder on them. The shoulder fits up against the side of the batter cable clamp and keeps the part you try to grab with a wrench proud so you CAN grab it with a wrench.

Also, where can I get just one (without paying $8 for shipping)? Any ideas? The nut on there now takes a 13 mm wrench.

Something like this?

Lynx/Battery terminal bolt with shoulder nut (06075) | | AutoZone.com

I bet any flaps carry something like that pretty cheap.

I think you can usually buy the whole terminal at most parts stores for 99 cents. Just throw out what you don't need or send it to Jeff to melt down to use for bullets. I think some places may also sell just the bolt/nut.

Boy, there was a guy here once who couldn't figure out basic brake questions on his BMW...Was one of your other aliases.

Gee, I wonder?

PS- either replace the whole damn terminal, or improvise. This isn't hard to figure out- at all.

I've never seen them sold separately. You're probably going to have to improvise. Cut a thick washer from a piece of pipe or one of the steel sleeves they sell in the miscellaneous fastener section at Lowes.

God forbid the guy might be new to cars, guys...

It will be hard to find that bolt without buying a end terminal. The end terminal should be available any any auto parts store. Couple bucks. Use the bolt.

Oh, the results were exactly as predicted.

What's funny is that one who is too stupid to "get it", even after having it explained to him several times, persists in bringinging it up as a triumph. LOL!

For anyone interested in reading a humorous thread that goes over the head of...uh, hahaha! Read this: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-politics-religion/605124-darisc-idiot.html

You need to get a boyfriend, Randy.

Get a boyfriend, lonely dude and go back to PARF. PPOT is a civil forum wherein members help one another. Drag your sad, lonely ass back to PARF where your whining is tolerated.

Boy DARISC judging by your tone I'd think you're a bit hurt and upset. I'd rub your belly if you were here.

a note to readers- note that DARISC didn't even contribute an answer to the OP- none at all!- at least I did-.....what was that about being civil and useful?
