Christmas Day, American Hustle
Yes, the family went to see the movie this afternoon, we got hustled, bad, it's slower than climate change, and not as good. Wait until it comes on TV. in two weeks.

Wow....was going to go see it with my son. Got smokin' reviews. Anyone else see it yet?

That's the trouble with reviews, you don't know my taste in movies, I maybe dead wrong on this. But my wife and her brother almost didn't sit through it. I kept waiting for something.

The whole family sat down together at our house and watched it today. Ugh, I agree very long for a predictable ending. I don't see it winning any of the awards it says on the cover it is up for, but on the positive some great acting!

I went to see it with my son, i was expecting more based on the reviews. Slow and pointless is my best description. Maybe I missed something but I wouldn't watch it again for free.

OK all you siskel and eberts, I saw it today also and thought it was pretty good actually. Not great, but definitely worth sitting through.

I think if I was going to see a movie this holiday, I'd go see Nebraska. You can't go wrong with an Alexander Payne movie.

Are you a member of the Foreign Press? How's 12 Years A Slave or August Osage County?

saw it last night, loved it. a good movie for tits (amy adams and jennifer lawrence mmm), and for wondering who is actually playing and conning who. dunno why you'd call it slow, its not an action movie, the pace was spot on for character development and tension building.
i recommend it. |

I'm guessing you're more of an action and comedy movie type guy and don't delve into more serious films? |

Seen 'em all. I'd put Her far and above the rest because it touches on universal themes and it's flawlessly executed.
I wasn't blown away by Nebraska, but it was entertaining. American Hustle was very good; not great. But because "some of these things actually happened" it's a really good ride. Inside Llewyn Davis was a mildly amusing film. Way below the average Coen Bros movie for me (I'm a big fan). Will be seeing Wolf of Wall Street tomorrow.
