I've made it!!!

Today, I have turned 78! :D

While I was spending seven days in St. Joe's Hospital with pneumonia over Thanksgiving, I had some doubts.

I think now I will blow right through 79 and shoot for 80!

Good luck, it's threshold after threshold.

Dodged another bullet and still on the right side of the grass. Yay! Time to smell the roses and shout out from the mountain tops.

sc_rufctr 01-14-2014 06:58 AM

Congratulations! I turned 70 this year and fully understand the value of reaching such milestones, as the older I become, the more uncertain the world looks.

onewhippedpuppy 01-14-2014 07:52 AM

Congrats! Looks like you're no longer 77 in a '71.:)

A big congrats to you! You've got seven years on me, and I agree that the older you get the more uncertain the world looks. We had a wonderful lady friend visit over new years. She turned 99 in November and is amazing. She & I have been friends for about 30 years, so she was not much younger than I when we first became friends. She rode the train from west Texas here, took the train to Santa Barbara to visit other friends and back to Texas. She called after getting back home to say she felt great and had a wonderful time. She has a great life story of working internationally and getting out of Viet Nam three days before the big crash. We'll be visiting her for her 100th. It would be nice if we could all enjoy a long life like she has and still look forward to more.

Well done sir!

I like it when the doc says "see you next year." Means you got at least another year, right?

onlycafe 01-14-2014 08:44 AM

congratulations to your north side, and may you enjoy many more birthdays to come.

porsche4life 01-14-2014 08:44 AM
