Just watched "Gone Girl" again. I saw it in the theater when it first came out....enjoyed it.

That is a good movie. Chick is whacked out .

Kind of melodramatic but a 2017 movie about the Ukraine during Stalin's domination. "Bitter Harvest".

TCM has been airing war-related movies all weekend. Tonight at 8 it's "The Longest Day".....

Watched Dead Pool on Freevee last night. Was OK. We saw the new Dr Strange in theaters today. It was not really very good. Along with that, the theaters have the sound system unbearably loud, which seems to get worse every year. I think I will watch movies at home, on my own projector and surround system, on my own couch with good popcorn and beverage.

Today on TCM.......at 5:15pm ET "The Sundowners" (1960) - great cast - but my fav. here is the work by Glynis Johns.

Followed at 8pm by one of my favs......"The Year of Living Dangerously". Very young Mel Gibson and Sigourney Weaver.

In the meantime, if you are so inclined, it's "The Bridge on the River Kwai" at 1pm.....

I would bet he will release DVD/BR.

I had "The Bridge on the River Kwai" on while working on my sink project. As I turned off the two petcocks the scene where they went down the river came on and all I heard was a lot of rushing water.....had to mute the TV to make sure I didn't mess up somewhere....

Just watched, Memory. Liam Neeson is a hit man that is ready to retire. That does not go well. An ok movie.

Huh? I read Maverick has a 120 day exclusive theater run time, vs the usual 45 days. It could show up on Paramount + as early as Sept 24th.

Looks like Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One comes out next year, with Part Two in 2024. They'll be great, I'm sure.

Totally agree. Even the first half was interesting, with her issues and what was going on. Took off when she left her loft. Zoe is a rising star and beautiful. I liked her better in this than The Batman.

If you liked Flight of the Conchords, you'll like this 2014 movie. Pretty goofy and very funny- a mockumentary of the daily life of some vampires. Hard not to like the New Zealand style of Jemaine Clement and Rhys Darby. Taika Waititi is new to me and great, reminds me of Aziz Ansari.

Triangle. Good mind-eff movie. Pretty original and rewatchable.
