They offered to let me ride one for a few hours...I declined...not interested.

No... not interested, either. I like the big torque of ours. I'm sure its missing on the new ones. I like loud, open clutches, too :D

I love mine to death...but I just got a $9,600 pool renovation estimate...so I think the Hyper will have to go.
Will be down to my BMW R1100S as my only bike.
Left CA in '08 and had 15 bikes...gettin' old, I guess...or maybe wiser. :confused:

Motion, what was the final diagnosis on your hyper? Looking for something more specific than 'blowed up':D
