Got sharp eyes? Time for a photo contest!

Can you spot the key differences between these two photos? I took the photo on the left Monday morning, and the photo on the right Tuesday morning. Winner gets a cookie that tastes suspiciously like Jameson and a grown mans tears.

The difference is your budget and Real World.

Big Pine Key, FL on the left. It was a rude awakening getting off the plane last night. :(

Wait until you wake up tomorrow. Or today. Whichever.

look 171 01-21-2014 10:38 PM

You really are enjoying that snow aren't ya?

livi 01-22-2014 01:23 AM

Hm.. I donīt know. Perhaps the pic to the left has more of a... poontang ambiance..

petrolhead611 01-22-2014 03:56 AM

You took the 2 photos at different angles to fool us. The row of trees is visible at the back in both photos but the sunny day photo is skewed to the left to show the ocean and miss out the houses that show on the snowy day photo.Heck, we can have have glorious sunshine and then snow in consecutive hours, never mind days, here in England.

The one on the left has a blue sky and the other one looks like a 1920s colorized B&W photo.

You have "mad photoshop skilz" :). Twice I have come off of a January Caribbean "music cruise" (think Woodstock...party at sea), and have been stranded in S. Fl airports or in between trying to get back home. Talk about a harsh reality check...driving on ice (after getting home) while still hung over (having been up all night) with "sea legs" too :p

zehnd 01-22-2014 05:44 AM

Beginning of January went from plus 34C in Mexico down to -36C at home. That's a rude awakening. No one felt sorry for me though. :(

Is that a hotel/resort in Big Pine?
I'll be touring the Key's on my bike in 2 weeks

That is the Big Pine Key fishing lodge. If you're traveling south, its the first thing you see on BPK. Mostly camping, but they do have a small hotel as well. Neat place to stop in and check out. My parents live there part of the year. Good place to see key deer as well. They wander the campground looking for treats.

If you are going to be doing any camping in the keys, bring strong bug spray. In the early evening, the noseeums (midge flies) bit like mad. Mosquito like bites that itch. Ask me how I know....

Wife and I are headed to Jamaica 2nd week of Feb, it'll be good to get out of this sub zero crap, but I will have to return a week later...that sucks.
