Spam/scam phone call !
 

We all get these email from time to time...but I got a phone call this AM claiming that I had won the Pub Clearing House prize of $25 million. Would be nice to have happen but this guy was not very well practiced in his delivery, didn't speak English well but did not have any detectable accent. I strung him along for a while but finally got bored. He did not ask for any money or any ID numbers, etc. Asked if I had received any notification in the mail, how I wanted to receive the money, etc. Told him I never entered that contest and he said I didn't need to, that I was selected because of where I lived and that I paid my bills, was a good citizen...blah blah...

He did ask if I had $2500 in the bank but didn't ask for it. Maybe he will try to get something out of my back acct and I will alert them, of course..

Any ideas on how this works ?

Secondary call or notification mail asking for a small processing fee. Tell him you will meet him at your local police station with cash in hand.
