Winter Weather

Looks like we are going to get a little taste of winter here in the deep south over the next couple of days. The bad news is some ice and snow tonight and tomorrow. The good news is that it is supposed to be back up to 70 on Saturday! Just in time for the big automotive swap meet at Spence field in Moultrie! Cars and parts as far as the eye can see!

What's this winter thing you are talking about?

Even after moving north to the Bay Area from L.A., I haven't seen it.

I play with the idea of moving out of SoCal in 5 years when I retire, then I see this. Its 70 right now.

Yep, it was about 70 here in South Georgia yesterday. I even had the a/c on in my truck yesterday afternoon! Maybe a couple of days below freezing will kill some bugs! I guess that two days of winter weather a year is not too bad!

Can you guess the state bird of Alaska?

The mosquito! There will be plenty of bugs come spring. Never fear.

I'm really tired of this winter - snow, cold, wind, repeat. It has been a very long time since I remember a winter this cold. It really hasn't snowed allot - it is the combo of wind/snow/cold. Lot of ice on the roads, so much salt - I couldn't tell you what color my car is because it has so much salt/snow/ice on it.

I did some start up work in Winnipeg quite a few years back. My flight in was the day after a large storm. The weather sucked but the people there were really great.

After I wrapped up a days work the guys that were on the electrical crew picked me up and off we went to the Legion to curl. They needed an sub and apparently I needed to drink. Fun!

Darn it all I'm having to pack a coat as I'm heading north tomorrow. But I was starting to sweat today walking around outside with customers at a demo.
