Is any program worse than Adobe Flash?

I have never had more problems and annoyances with any software than I do with this ALWAYS UPDATING, always errorring POS.

It's as if Adobe is actually a govt run program.

I have the latest flash player semi-updated FINALLY. I use "semi" because it works about 25% of the time.

I've had major problems when updating Adobe Flash before.

I created a desktop shortcut to Flash so that I can control my own updates.

I do not trust the official looking updates on re-start not to be malware.

I will never again do an update based on any sort of "notification".

It's all a lie.

I trust my /etc/apt/sources.list and the updates listed in apt-get dist-upgrade

No issue with Flash on my machines :D

I block it ("click to flash" plugin so I can run the flash items if desired but with no pre-load, page loading slow-downs or potential security issues otherwise).

My opinions more or less mirror the OP's - I dislike flash and its constantly changing security vulnerabilities, need for resource-sucking updates / patches, etc. usually not worth the hassle.

Exactly. I have a few PC's to manage and I set 'notify of updates - don't install,' so that their resource hogging updates don't interfere with any resource hogging application I might be running. If I don't get to their update right away some POS flash banner ad with new code crashes Firefox - for example.

Yeesh - this internet thing is becoming more and more a JIT (Just in time) software exercise. More and more, our computers become the property of voyeuristic entities.

I think iphoto is far and away the worst POS I have ever been forced to touch.

Then again, there was the first generation of Microsoft Sharepoint......*shudder*.......

iPhoto and iTunes run neck and neck for the worst POS I have ever been forced to touch HardDrive. I guess the one I hate most is the one I'm having to deal with at the moment.

Adobe flash is still better than itunes. Never lost a full media library from updating flash.

gtc 01-31-2014 11:00 AM

I submit Adobe Acrobat.

iTunes sucks sweaty donkey balls.
