Anyone know old gas pumps?
I've got my Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle listed on Craigslist, priced it at $2000. I offered a long list of potential trade items. A guy offered me an old Pure gas pump. I've looked around a bit, and it seems like they are worth about $1500 in good condition. Anyone know about gas pumps? Looks pretty cool to me! Nice mancave piece.

You sure it's real?
Ricks is asking $2,500 for similar reproductions. Maybe drop them a note and see if they'll offer an opinion. Rick's Restorations | Item for Sale | Reproduction Gas Pumps

Seems if you want something for the man cave you can get one for under $1,000 all day long.
I guess the real question to determine value is is that one real or a reproduction. gas pumps, reproduction gas pump, replica gas pump, antique gas pump, old gas pump, collectible, memorabilia, advertising oil and gas stations, classic gas pump, erie 1950s gas pump

Don't think Pure put Holman-Moody stickers on their pumps.

AO Smith pump
From late '50's I believe. Not sure what the value is, but the surround for the glass should be aluminum and not painted. At least that's how mine is?

I've been restoring old gas pumps for 25 years. I hope to have a pretty good idea of al kinds from the 20's to the 60's. That pump looks to be one from around the late 60's, not one I've seen before. It looks rater short, around 4 ft? The ones I restored will bring around 800 - 1500, with a unrestored one going for about 300.00. You can find them for a ton more money, but those are from dealers who mark them way up, but to each his own. I've had so many great times restoring these over the years, but now they are getting hard to find out here on the farms. IMO, that one does not appear to be in the 2000 range, maybe 1000.00. A friend just bought one at a show, like new for 800.00, much taller and wider, from the 40's, but it is so nice, it might be a repo. Hope this helps.
