Has anyone used the new USPS online "click and ship"?

They changed the format and I can't get from the first page to where I print a label and pay. No GUI or obvious "next button". The 800 help line is always busy and/or I have spent 45+ minute on hold. I don't think I am the only one with this problem. There is a Live Chat button....no workie.

PLEASE no crap about using USPS, I need legitimate comments. I use this for my graphics business. It's the most convenient when it works. Standing in line sucks.

I don't have an account, but just hitting the login page looks like it uses java. Have you tried a different browser?

How about the download app?

No change on my first page... not updated at all. I'm using Chrome. My address book loaded fine, etc.

Tried, FF and chrome.

I see no button or GUI that lets me proceed to payment and/or print label options after I enter the addressee information and chose the delivery method. None of the drop down menus have the option either.

I just used it this morning with no problem.
I'm using FF 26.0
If you try IE, you will need 8 or higher.

Have you changed the settings or installed an add on to Firefox? May have to go to the box at the bottom of the page called options/allow site/ if you have.

When I installed FF, every site I went to needed to allow something to get the dropdown boxes to work.

Ok,
I went back and tried to ship a box:

On my screen

You need to make sure you are specifying flat rate OR enter the package weight, click either circle

If any dimensions over 12" enter the dimensions if you are shipping your own package.

I entered a value,... don't know if it matters

There is next a drop down box for type of service, I only have Priority Mail and Express Mail to choose from. I chose Priority Mail. that gave me a drop down box for the cost as I specified my own Package for weight and dimensions.

There was a button to click to add it to my cart. The next page had the credit card info on it.

Can't do a screen shot here.. sorry.

Note that I went back out cleared the info, and then specified a flat rate package and was able then to specify which package size from the drop down menu when I specified the type of shipping (Priority Mail in this case) When I clicked on that, a button popped up at the bottom to "add it to my cart" and then the next page has the CC info.

Did that, still get a dead screen with no pull down.....crap...:(

EDIT: Figured it out, thanks. You have to total up the prices and then click check postage.....duh.

Just went through the same thing this morning! Grrr.... what a terrible page! Anybody who designs web pages should be required to round up a bunch of 75 year old folks with little computer experience and see if they can make it work. If they can't, they need to figure out why and fix it! I'm fairly tech savvy and spent way too much time trying to figure this out today.

You can call me.....it's counter intuitive but a head slapper when you figure it out.....

LeeH 02-03-2014 09:46 PM

I got it eventually. I had a narrow window of free time to get something posted today and was irked that it took 10 minutes of messing around on their web site just to print a label.
