I know how to invert the image for a photo, can you do it for video?
Hey guys,
Got a cheapo video camera, and the most convenient way to mount it in the car would be upside down. Is there video editing software out there where I can just flip it 180 degrees? Seems like there should be a way, and I bet there are 20 guys that frequent this place that will know a couple ways to do it. Thanks in advance, Toby |
I've never used it, but I'm 90% sure Windows Movie Maker has it under their effects.
If not, I'm 100% sure AVID Media Composer 6 has it since I'm looking right at it on my work station. |
The simple answer is yes and it's actually simple.
But it could take a long long time depending on your a) your PC's specs, b) the editor you are using, c) length, resolution of the footage Think of it this way, video is nothing more than still images taken very quickly in sequence, so to flip the video you are flipping and saving 30 images for each second of video, 1,800 a minute, 18,000 for every 10 minutes etc..... |
All the freebie video editing software has the ability to flip the video around. If you want to upload video to YouTube you can flip it there! After you upload the vid, click on the "Enhancements" tab and look toward the bottom of the player window. You should see controls to rotate your video clock or counter-clockwise. Click until your picture is right side up and hit "save" in the upper left. Viola you're done!
Good luck, Michael |
See, faster than I could google it I bet, thanks guys
