My posting has ebbed and flowed over the years, but I've never gone full drama quit. Lots of smart people here, it's like having a diverse focus group at your disposal.

Hello, my name is Bob.....I am a Porscheholic!

What a great looking dog...reminds me of one of my old girls from days gone by ;).

Like most long time posters, I'll take a hiatus on occasion...sometimes not having anything to do with this site...I actually do have a "life" believe it or not :p.

That said...before the spin-off of PARF, I had virtually written this place off. The political nonsense, juvenile name calling and mean spiritedness, etc. just made it not worth coming around here from my perspective. That said, this is my only "online community", and it's a special place with exceptional people for the most part imo...YMMV.

One other thing...I used to "drive a computer" for a living...so I was on this site EVERY day, virtually all day long...I don't do that anymore for sure.

I've stopped in nearly every day for a few years. When I'm not traveling I'm in front of a computer, and it's a nice diversion. There are some great people here. Some jerks too, but even they can be endearing in their way (I'm talking about you Sammy).

I ended up popping in today while researching 996TTs. They are getting dangerously close to attainable, especially if I end up selling the E30 now. It was a great car, but I need something newer at this point that I can drive more than wrench on. I've discovered that baby seats do in fact fit in a 911, and so tis a family car too.

Recaro ProBooster, $80 on Amazon.com. Fits great in the back seat of my 996, removing the rear seatback buys a few more inches. I also bought a buckle extender for $20 as it's pretty tight between the seat side and rear tunnel. The 3 year old loves it, "go faster daddy".

Yup- I think that's the one I saw. I think Porsche Design sells one too, probably for $1000 or something.

I'm sure now that my two year old can be accommodated, but I also have a 2 week old who will be in a rear facing seat for at least 18 months. Can I turn off the passenger air bags to accommodate her in the front seat?

Yes, there's several different Porsche solutions to disable the passenger side airbag. I think the newer models had a weight sensor in the passenger seat, but that might be the 997. I think there are also several DIY solutions as well to disable the passenger airbag.

PARF is just too funny to leave.

I can walk away anytime I want. But you know what? I like it. Really!
