				Piriformis

So I’ve self-diagnosed with piriformis syndrome since I started back on the treadmill a few days a week.

It's no fun at all to have, and it’s aggravating my (old) plantar fasciitis on that side. I've found I’m slouching - moving my hips forward - or sitting on one side to deal with the discomfort. Getting old sucks. Anyone have any tips for stuff that helped? I’m going to start the stretches that I found online, and I bought one of those massage guns from Amazon. Anything else? |

I thought I had piriformis syndrome for about two years. Was sent to a sports medicine PT place to learn exercises.

The stretches here are pretty close to what they had me doing. https://health.clevelandclinic.org/piriformis-syndrome-stretches-exercises It turned out that my problem was a collapsing disc in my spine that required surgery. I don't regret the morning stretches, and will probably go back to a stretching routine when I've recovered from the surgery.
