Yes Allegiant is on the top of all the airlines in the US. There is a reason they are cheap. BTDT won't again.
I have been to a number of countries, more than the average US citizen I would guess and am off to South Korea, Thailand, Singapore and Indonesia over the next few weeks. I also get to travel everywhere in the US. I enjoy it, its all different. I think one of the reasons people are making such a big deal of Sochi is the perceived corruption that took place in order to get ready for the Olympics. Why that makes a difference I don't know. Or is it a big deal because the russkie embarassed potus and now it's payback time.

pelican's.... you just don't get it! Russian strategy that is. Other then the host athletes, they leave the rest to just borderline uncomfortable. This give them the edge. Screw your stickn' Ralphy Lauren pillows and oh so private ****ters... LOL.
I find it embarrassing the US has no top representative from the POTUS or administration at the opening ceremony. Weak... and that BS by Costas and interview of Barry. Unlike other nations it was nice to see many top leaders from other countries attending. |

Really? It's a bunch of f$@*&#ing games. Winter ones at that. I'd rather our leaders' time being spent actually working. |
I just came back from Europe - no one likes Putin! Several others including Obama didn't go. Leaders from Canada, Germany, England and France among the western leaders. This isn't just about gay rights and everyone has an excuse. Most of the conversation has not been around the athletes, but corruption, building contracts, Snowden and other politics.
Those who stayed away and the feeling I got in Europe have more to do with the guy running Russia than the games. It's politics and business! |
I would love to go to Russia.
Best opening ceremony ever. The centricity displayed in this thread is really dismaying. Fully realizing, it is the norm here. |

The Olympics... at best... is a snoozefest for me (summer or winter), haven't even watched any of it yet. |

Look at it this way. Not sure of your occupation but in many company executive post, and if visiting another company from out of town, its almost customary to get a round of golf between them. I won't go into explaining why but by doing so, there's a level of thought and interaction that helps gets things done. Second- How many politicians here in the US actually work? We pay them anyhow so why not give them a FREE FRICKEN TRIP to the Olympics? How hard is that to do? Joe Biden busy? And Obama's excuses at the Costas interview... that was spineless to even painful. ---------- BTW: I'm in agreement the opening show was outstanding! |
Another pisser and shame on the US was when Jimmy Carter boycott the US to participate in the 1980 games in Moscow. That's another storied chapter.... Afghanistan.

What i see is shadows of the worker's paradise. Good thing it never spread past east europe and china.
