RIP Miss Temple.
My favorite movie of hers is The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer.

I can remember her doing the opening for the Disney tv show but can't locate a clip of it.
She was the last of an era, the memories she must have had. Jim

Guess the "Good Ship Lollipop" has docked (or set sail, which ever way you see it)
My kids loved her movies (I came to like them too!) |

Mickey Rooney is still alive...most famous line, "I lost $2 at Santa Anita and I've spent $3 million trying to get it back."
And Shirley will be missed, as a kid I used to watch her movies on the Early Show on TV. She was an American Ambassador and had a bout of Breast Cancer as I recall.

Growing up, our household was one of those where kids had no say in what was on tv - we watched what they wanted to watch; if my grandmother knew a Shirley Temple movie was on, it was a done deal. (Back then, multiple tvs still wasn't common.)

When you consider how young she was when she started and see what she was able to remember and do well (dance steps and scripts) you can understand what a talent she was.

Always thought she was adorable, both as a child and a grown woman.

A talented actress and singer, wife and mother, gave us many years of public service - she led a full life and will be missed.
Rest in peace Shirley.
