Avast doesn't like Pelican parts

Has anyone else encountered Avast anti virus blocking the Pelican forums when transferring from a search engine?
If so, how do I change it?

Install MSE instead of Avast? Just a thought.

I have had my anti-virus program pop up warnings and even throw me out of Pelican by just changing pages on a thread. I figure one of the ads is not playing nice.

Same here. Wont even let me enter off topic.

The problem I had was a bit of spy ware. Problem solved.

Just curious if you are running windoze XP? May show back up when you scan again.

I had a similar problem recently and had to scrub the XP drive because I couldn't get the password stealing virus off. Tried the safety scanner from MSFT and was running security essentials and spybot but to no avail.

Linux Mint and Firefox with no-script installed has been working fine. No ads and no youtube video slowdowns.

I am running XP on one computer so I'll have to watch for a recurrence.
Cheers
