Hazet Assistent 166n value
Hey Pelicaners,
I got one of these 20yrs ago from a hairstylist who used it in his shop and I only used it as a watch battery replacement bench so it has seen little wear, anybody got a clue what it's worth?. I was thinking about trying to trade it for a right side SSI or a Guards Red decklid and grill for my 77, what do you think? |
Absolute guess without checking Google.
About $400. |
I'll purchase it from you. Please. I Really would like one.
Willing to work with you getting what you need out of this deal as a trade to. |
I go to eBay when I want to see approximate value. looks like it's in the neighborhood of $1K, probably more being somewhat vintage. garagejournal.com may be another source to see what it's worth.
An SSI is around $500. Decklid and grill around $250 to $350. |
Let's not hear any more complaints about Snap-On prices :)

I don't know. I can't imagine they would sell as low as $400 though. Red needs to do some more searches.
My sense is if he were to put it on Pelican Classifieds and Early S Classifieds for $1K, it would be gone in a week. I could be wrong. |
Pictures, pictures, pictures.
There are several details that determine value (or relative lack of it). HaZET vs HAZET logo Provision for stool Correct blue and black knobs Removable masts. A pre-65 in perfect condition can get 1K. A 90's version, not so much. |

I'll post some pics as soon as I can

I paid $450 for mine a few years ago. The Samba has them from about $500-$1500. I don't think I would take less than $600 for mine if forced to sell, but I'm keeping it for life.

^^^ +1
Condition considering. Often found on ebay euro This one sold last Nov. for approx. $450 usd + consider cost of shipping. |
Here's mine just because.

omfg. I've always wanted one, but $1.7 K is ridiculous.
|
Especially considering you can get one here for 1400...
HAZET Assistent 166N Still bloody damned insane! |

With the price of early S's going through the roof, cool and rare accoutrements are following.
|
If you can bump a little for the shipping, you can find them relatively fair. Search the bargain's by keywords tool trolley werkzeugwagen as sellers will sometimes leave the brand name off.
|
I've had mine for awhile now. The casters are plenty strong.

Thanks Jack. I'm getting one soon for my sewing and leather work.

Can you PM me when you get the price worked out? I'd be interested. I just bought a Hazet wrench set that comes in a metal box that is painted exactly like that cart, and has the same logo.

Must be some big-assed greasy watches in that work environment! |
Resonable comment MBA
It's been sitting around in my garage on and off for years mostly as a catch all, cleaned it up and used it in a jewelry store for a while but it has not seen any actual mechanics use, has gotten a little beat up though. I'd really like to trade it for a 77 deck lid and grill.
|
I bought my 166N brand new via Ebay (new in the Hazet shipping box and requiring assembly) in 2006 for $620 including PayPal fees and FedEx shipping. I think the guy had a connection and had imported a few of them.
|
Dude, I'll buy you a deck lid and grill from any used parts place and ship to you as a trade. I can see it has some use, but that's to be expected.
