Thumbs up VERY COOL free microsoft ICE image stitching software

Very Cool, free software from MicroSoft..... If want to make a sweeping panoramic pic collection numerous shots, by just spinning a camera in a horizontal plane 180-270-360 degrees, click click, then even go across then up a row to go click click backwards.

You need image overlap, don't spin too far, and even low rex 1200-1600 pixel jpgs are super sharp with stitched seamlessly.

google Download Microoft Ice. And image samples.

It's easy squeezey, even a corvette owner could do it.

some example of just my first couple try's.

Her's A buddy's BIG manufacturing shop, Large steel frame building with about 20 lathes in it. Oh yeah his making a 1905 horseless carriage replica, fabbed everything but the Rims himself, and a gorgeous wood buggy top.

These are 180 - 270 degree pans, just drop 5 or six or more photos into ICE, it does the rest.

I was doing that with my Olympus Dimage digital camera, Canon software, and Windows 3.11 back in the early 2000s.

Lots of phones can. I think Android did it before the iPhone, but many, most digital cameras don't do automatically, so if you have a dslr or point and shoot, now you can do it with those.

I had software that would do it at least that far back, but I'm guessing this is quick, free and easy software for a slightly more modern machine.

They had one called "photosynth" for iOS. I wonder if this replaces it?

I've not seen the MS software, but it would seem to me it's above what the iPhone and others can do. iPhone only stitches one row of images together, whereas a real pano would have multiple rows.

cell phone images SUCK for quality, I don't care how many over-hyped giggle-pixels your phones "camera" has..............you're still shooting through a lens the size of a #2 pencil lead.

I know this and other software has been out for a while, but this shoots multiple rows and is brain dead easy to use, oh yeah its FREE, I like free.

Yeah a panorama only photo image post would be cool, let me get a few more and I'll start one.

IIRC, that is an issue at lower light levels, not at high ones
