Dads Valentines day fun (spoon content)

My wife and I have been married 16 years. We never cared much for Hallmark holidays (I swear, she's more against it than I). So tonight, my wife had booked a hair appointment for she and our daughter. It was about 20 miles away, and the snow is coming down, so being the chivalrous bloke I am I offered to drive.

This left me with 2+ hours to kill. A quick bit of googling, and I found a great gun range just 3 miles away. So wifey and my daughter got their spa experience, and dad got to go pop caps.

I call this art piece, '50 rounds of .40 from a Sig'.

I can do that too, without stating the distance! :D

25 yards?

That reminds me that I have some free range coupons that I need to burn, I haven't exercised my new (to me) Colt Trooper yet.

I'm glad no one noticed the powder burns on the target. :D

Nice!!!

What's really disconcerting to me is the number of hits on the target holder (I know they are not HardDrive's, we've shot together a couple of times and he knows how to do it). At out local indoor range, the first hit on the wall is less than ten feet from the firing line...

Are you talking about Wades? Some scary looking stuff in that place. Walls and ceilings all shot to hell, very close to the firing line.

Looks like spent shotgun shells mixed in with the pistol brass on the floor? I've never been to an indoor range where that's allowed...

Pistol range was full, so they put in me in the rifle range. They'll let you shoot anything up to .460 Weatherby! Shotguns as well. Only a 25 yard range, so its really only good for cutting loose with a black gun. It was unpleasant when I first got in there. The guy next to me had (what looked like) a FAL of some sort. .308 bursts 4 feet away in a confined space will rattle your teeth a bit.

This is the place: AIMHI - Ohio CCW Training, Gun Store & Indoor Shooting Range

Very nice, I also shot a couple hundred rounds today. It was nice to get a little trigger time in.
