Google road rage advice. You may be surprised what the police (Aus) say about it. First thing... Don't get out of your car. |
A universal "my bad" hand sign would help. Of course, I am Canadian so no one would ever have two hands on the wheel. Ever.

This thread sort of pisses me off. Why can't someone just relate a life event without being called an arse. Shouldn't it just suffice to say you disagree and let it go at that but no, there has to be name calling. Pretty stupid in my book and also very juvenile behavior.

So, should I have pulled my gun, or should she have pulled hers? |

What you should have done is taken down her licence number and reported her for speeding to the police. Let them handle it. |
I think the other driver was lucky that he ran into a responsible person who simply showed that he was prepared to defend himself if the confrontation escalated. Some others would have just pulled the trigger when approached. I tell my children all of the time, when they are behind the wheel avoid any confrontations with other drivers and never get out of your car. You never know who you are getting involved with. I see nothing wrong with what you did he was looking for a fight and not an apology.

Your intentions are unknown to her. |

Like the OP (as one may interpret his story). Chop someone up, then pull a gun instead of manning up and acknowledging he was (in the eyes of the other party) driving with his heads up his arse. |

It's their job to enforce - not ours. It's called protocol. The analogy is if you hire someone to get rid of the rats in your attic. You see a rat you call that company up and let them know "Hey - I just saw a rat." You don't go up to the rat. You call the "Rat Busters". |

The stomp on the instep is good too. Gets inside attack where you can throw them, and they won't chase if they can't run;) |

I'm betting that Mr. Dunn is wishing that he had handled four unruly teens differently. Ordinary persons have no business engaging in deadly force, or even the threat of deadly force. Things could have gone differently in this case, with somebody dead, and the other in prison.
You pull a gun on me and I will assume you are going to use it, so I am going to take it from you and beat you with it and then I am going to sue you. Promise. |
It's kinda funny to me. ;)
Driver shows bad judgment handling his car with poor merging onto the freeway. Then you see same driver with questionable judgment now has a gun too? Do you drive the same with or without your gun? :( What if you stayed in your car and endure the guy yelling until the light changed. While at the same time you shoot him in the head with your cellphone video... just knowing he is being recorded might help to not escalate the confrontation. Maybe a cop might be interested in the video evidence as proof of road rage? I don't pick fights with anyone on the road, you can't tell who is driving around with a gun in his lap. |
