He's a pussy.
We skitched. Skitching is hanging out on a corner with a stop sign and waiting for a car to stop, you drop in behind it, grab some bumper and off you go. No board, Timberlands worked great. Manhole covers sucked. It's how we got to and from school on snowy days. That was back in the day when cars still had chrome bumpers.

We did that in MN. as well when I was a juvenile delinquent. It's a wonder I'm alive. But what he did looks like a blast.

I've grown tired of self-absorbed generation Y's with their 24/7 'look at me!' crap.
We did the same things when we were young. Certainly did not feel the need to make a movie about it.

Well to be honest if we had go-pros back then we probably would have made videos also.

You haven't lived until you hit a patch of dry pavement @ 40 mph crouched down sliding on bunny boots.

I've done it with a waterski rope, car, and skateboard in a parking lot (no snow). Total blast! Okay, I was 16 at the time...

Same here but with a surfboard with the car driving on the sand next to a lagoon. Quite good fun.

Woulda been cooler if he'd worn a helmet as an example to all the kids who aspire to the whole extreme sports thing, but hey... you can't fix stupid.

Lots of snow Porsche away

He should be embarassed to post that, what is he doing like 15 MPH? It would be more extreme to get towed behind a 3rd grader on a bicycle than what that douche just did.

Towing the kids was a staple here when it snowed: Snow, Tacoma, 1/2 mile driveway, water ski tow rope = opportunity.
Snowboards, Ski's, disc's, it didn't matter. The farm roads also had excellent ramp-age. My kids had as much flight time as I did. ![]()

at 6-7yrs old I tied a rope to a piece of plywood to the back of my older friend's truck and got towed around the neighborhood all afternoon during a rainstorm. probably less than an 1/2" of water in the deep spots on the concrete streets. couple years later we did skis behind my moped. that was 50+ yrs ago. snow? what's that? the real fun was in high school when I found an old parachute and a somewhat willing test pilot. well, willing the first go. unwilling all the other flights(?)

Tennis shoes on wet pavement in the rain works as well.
(...or so I've heard. I would have never done such a thing when I was young...) |

things I've towed and ridden behind vehicles and sometimes boats:
plywood, skis, go cart with no engine, parachute, bicycles, car and truck hoods, tires, cable spool.. even a bath tub. actually anything we could tie a rope on and had room to get aboard was good. my daughter could tell some stories about her early childhood and getting towed on different things wish. I had taken videos back then. poor baby!LOL
