Cape San Blas, Florida - anyone familiar?
I was looking for a beach in Florida that allows dogs and campfires and came upon Cape San Blas. Anyone familiar with this area that has some input on places to stay? I am thinking of staying down south the entire month of January next winter, and taking my dogs with me. Your input is appreciated.
respects, Dennis

N Florida gets cold, esp in January and February. No snow or anything like that though. A lot of private campgrounds allow dogs, but not a lot of State facilities allow 'em.

Thank you id10t.
I know it is not tropical in the winter. Guess what? St Pete Beach was not tropical a few weeks ago either! ![]()

If you aren't stuck on saltwater, or being near the redneck riviera, check out Blue Springs Park in Gilchrist county. A bit due east (over the water) from Cape San Blas but beautiful springs, river, camping allowed, I think they allow dogs, etc.
Blue Springs Park, High Springs, Florida - 386.454.1369 They do close for 2 weeks before/during christmas/new years but they are definately open all January and on
