BMW 328i vs Camaro SS at Circuit of The Americas
(cross-post from Autox-Racing forum, got no response)
Sorry a bit off-topic. Porsche content, my 911 is down, getting LSD installed. Instructing at CoTA in 2 weeks at a Ferrari Challenge event, what's your opinion on which car would be better to bring to CoTA? The Camaro SS is 6.2L, 400hp but weighs close to 4000lbs. The BMW puts out 240hp, 255lbs-ft but weighs 3400lbs. Both cars are 2014 models, auto. Neither car is track-prepped, but need to survive 2 days without burning up the brakes. I'm leaning to the BMW due to it's lower weight, any opinions or experience with these 2 cars would be appreciated!

Yes, have you seen the new Camaro SS with Recaro seats? I decided to drive the 328 anyway due to better balance and handling and lower weight, less likely for brake fade.
I have a E39 540 6mt and E60 550 6mt so biased.
