HBO Series

Anyone watching True Detective?
I like it so far, however, it's moving slow.
Any thoughts. SmileWavy

The first three episodes are slow, the **** hits the fan in the 4th episode where it finally gets off the ground.

I think it's got potential, but am not convinced it'll be a classic just yet.

i cancelled hbo after the end of deadwood, i don't think they will be able to surpass that for excellence.

Oh yeah I enjoyed Deadwood and Rome as well.
The problem any good or very good series is it always leave you wanting more.

We have been watching, but man, it sure is dark. I'm not sure we'll stick with it.

I watch TV maybe once per month...but this show has me watching it weekly. The acting by Woody and McConaughey is brilliant. The storyline is gripping and as I am fmailiar with the West LA and East TX I can relate to the locations for the set. There will be a total of 8 episodes.

Ive been watching. It is dark. But its got such a good script. Woody and McC are perfect. I love how f'ed up Rust is. "I dont sleep. I just dream".
The last episode picked up speed when we learn that their interviews arent entirely truthful. I will find it a little hard to believe if they actually turn the story on Rust being the killer.

Agree, a great show. And western LA and East TX are worlds unto themselves in places, couldn't be a better setting for this show. Dark and getting darker.

I like it except for the constant flashback storytelling. The music and scenery are great. DP

Love the show, got my wife hooked on it too. So do we suspect the cops think Mathew is killer all along? Sure takes time to get to the end.

I just hope it doesn't end up like V or other shows I watched that just ended with no resolution....

Thats pretty much what the detectives said in the last episode. They have three more episodes to wrap it up.

The title to this thread needs to be revised so people can tell what its about. Or not...

stealthn 02-23-2014 05:24 PM

My wife read an article that said they will be different cast and different stories. I'm not it would survive without those two, they make the show

Alexandra Daddario... made me watch Percy Jackson. Agree it is slow moving.

dan88911 02-23-2014 05:31 PM

Yeah they will be tough to follow. I wonder if producers of this series are paying attention.
