Nebraska. The movie.
If this movie is still playing on the big screen in your town, I highly recommend it.
This is award winning moviemaking. Bruce Dern - fabulous. He truly deserves an Oscar for his performance. June Squibb - unbelievable role. She deserves an Oscar - best supporting actress. Most touching, humour filled movie that I have had the pleasure of watching, in a very long time. Filmed in black and white, the cinematography is stunning. Direction - impeccable. Some hauntingly beautiful scenes of the Mid-West. The casting was incredible, right down to the extras. The best movie of 2013, imho. |

Couldn't agree more. We saw it a couple of weeks ago. Great movie, no "special effects" and growing up in a small farming town we could definitely relate to some of the characters in the movie. Great casting using mostly unknowns.

Alexander Payne is a great director. Sideways and The Descendants are high on my list of good films.
