2008 Jeep Compass CVT transmission question:
in case anyone here is familiar with these, I have a good friend who is having possible transmission overheating problems with a 2008 Jeep Compass. On long trips, (over 50 miles), sometimes a warning comes on telling them that transmission is overheating.
Does anyone know if these are supposed to ever have fluid changed? He's telling me that the dealer said that the transmission is not serviceable(?) As in, only can be replaced? Anyone know? TIA.

Yep.
Avoid vehicles with a CVT at all costs. They are a money pit.
