Well the dog will be better off now than he/she was. I'm sure with this video going viral the little one will be scooped up and given the home he/she deserves.

I don't know people can live with themselves.

That is one of the saddest videos I have seen in a long time. You can see how scared that poor dog was, and yet when the sob was walking away the dog was still loyal enough to want to follow him.

Nothing wrong with the driver of that truck that a .30-06 can't fix. Mother****er.

I am with rusnak on this one, as I didn't have the heart to watch it. I do have a solution though. Tie the owner with a rope to rear bumper and let the dog drive the truck down the street. I hope that miserable piece of ***** rots in hell!!

I really wish I'd never clicked on that - I'm gonna really hug my Beagle when I get home.

As an animal lover I clicked the video with dread. Thankfully it's not nearly as horrible as I was expecting. The dog is better off today than yesterday.

Absolutely! But knocking that worthless old ******* clean out for *everything* he did in that video sure wouldn't hurt.

What is the place he dropped him? Is it an animal shelter or something similiar?

Did I miss something? The old guy took the dog out of the truck, tied it to a post, and drove away. Admittedly the dog did not appear to be well treated which IMO made it even better to be away from the guy driving the truck. IMO that was the best moment of that dogs like. Celebrate that.

^This.

I'm thankful the a55hats who originally had my dog decided to abandoned her. If they hadn't, they'd still be abusing her rather than her being spoiled rotten and well cared for as a member of my family.

The dog is timid as hell - I don't even see it wanting to follow the "owner". We all can guess the reasons ...

That said, wishing death on someone over abandoning a dog is pretty extreme.

The dog will be fine but I wonder what the background story is with the old guy?

Was this his dog or a stray that he didn't know what to do with? Is the old guy sick?
He certainly didn't look very spritly.

OK, I'm glad it wasn't just me. The dog is older but doesn't look abused. Maybe it wasn't even his. Maybe it was his elderly mothers or a neighbors who passed away. Maybe he found it wondering around his neighborhood. Even if it was his maybe he can not take care of it any longer for one reason or another. He didn't throw it out on the highway. Is that an animal shelter?

This is what I can not stand about our society, people want to hang someone based on an assumption. Not facts. There are children out there treated ten times worse then that dog on a daily basis and people turn their backs. Oh and it is just a dog. How many of you are hunters? Not saying that is a bad thing just put it in perspective. Would it have been more humane if he took it into the woods and blew it's head off with a shot gun?

Sometimes it's all about the loyalty a dog shows it's human.

That dog was betrayed.

Left alone........abandoned.......while it's human drove off.

That alone is an ass whipping offense.

I never advocated murder - but to betray the loyalty and devotion shown to you by man's best friend - I can understand someone threatening a person's life in anger.

That dog's tail never comes up - he will be with a better human now and yes - that should be celebrated.

I understand your position, but but he didn't need to yank the dog out by it's neck onto the pavement like that. Dogs are eager to please and wouldn't need any real coaxing to get out of the cab. Watch it closely, he's limping and cowering after that landing.

I never wished him death, either but if I witnessed someone mistreat any child or pet like that, I would have a problem with it. It's excessive and unnecessary.

Baz. I get why you're upset and yes he certainly yanked the dog out of the truck but I've seen much worse first hand.
Just denying an animal food and shelter is bad enough IMO but we don't know the background story here.

A long time ago I had to deal with a young guy in the army that had tortured and killed a vey young cat.
To finish it off he threw it up into a spinning ceiling fan. Seeing the cats body mutilated is something I could never get my head around. The whole thing seemed so stupid and pointless.

Anyway he was discharged from the Army for a combination of issues including the cat.

I watched the video again just to be sure. I think it is a stretch a real stretch to say that man "yanked" the dog out. He picked the leash up and walked toward the bench. Did he help the dog out of the truck no. Did he wait for it to jump down no. But in my opinion the dog jumped on it's own not because it was being pulled out. As for the dog cowering. It looks older. Again, maybe a dog that was lost that he (dare I say) rescued or found wondering? It's just as easy t assume the dog was in a strange truck with a stranger? Maybe it got out of it's elderly owners house and wondered away. If the place h left it is a shelter or veterinarian dogs sense that. That could be why it is cowering. My 60 lb. 7 year old Field Spaniel shakes and hides under the seat when we go to the vet.

To me that man showed no malice toward that dog. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he took it to a place he thought could take care of it. For what ever reason.
