What Year Is This Turbo?
Looks nice, was wondering how to tell the difference between a 996TT and a 997TT? Intake vents? I thought the 997TT had them split like this one?

997's have oval headlights, not the fried egg style on the 996's. That's a 997.

It's a 997. Though a conversion to 997 headlights is totally possible. As with the rest of the body if desired.

looks like a 996 from the rear. st

(Or he had major work done converting it...) |
It is 100% 997. It is possible to convert the front fenders, bumper, and lights of a 996 to the 997 loo, but it's pretty much impossible to change the cutline between rear qtr and bumper cover- the 997 has the angled cutline, as shown. The 996 has a horizontal split (which doesn't look as tight and nice IMO).

too new to matter much to me, can't afford it/wouldn't want it anyway. sorry.

So what's the story Mike? It's obviously a TX car, is it nearby?
|
Yup, saw it the other day running around the other half of my hood...not sure if it lives here of is visiting but its been on the street several times. in the same week but parked various places across for the same house - never in the drive though so I'm thinking it's visiting...
