Google "Fister" exhaust modification. I'm going to look at an "S" this weekend and that will be my first mod :--)
Lucky to have all that work done! Enjoy and have fun. |
Congrats, I've always had a soft spot for those cars.

Nice. I'd love to have a Boxster myself. Nice color combo, too. Classic.

Fister or muffler bypass are fantastic.
Where are the pictures?!:) |
Cool story involving Jake Raby. I would love a Boxster and prices right now are ridiculous. I just dont think that I would fit. I am 6'5". Next time I am at the Porsche dealership I am going to see if I do fit though.

Thanks guys yes she is home in her bed :D Yesterday was a long day, started with nasty cold rain on the drive up to Jakes place. Only got about 2 miles into my journey when I got caught up in our famous traffic  What normally takes me 15 minutes to get onto I75 took 50 minutes ! But eventually made my destination. Jakes place has LOTS of Porsche's he's a very busy man. We talked for a little bit then took her for a quick ride before loading onto my trailer. Wow this thing makes some power ! Very smooth linear delivery through the gears and a nice intake noise. We got the legal paperwork out of the way then I loaded her on the trailer. Tied her down good and started the journey home. The weather was much better on the ride home the sun broke through the clouds and warmed up. Stopped along the way at a gas station to put some fresh fuel in the S. Got my first compliment there a guy at the next pump says " nice car " ! :) Yeah I was feeling pretty good. Anyway made it home and unloaded. Today I will snap some pics. Now I have to find some time to get it registered so I can start driving. SmileWavy

OK finally snapped some pics today. And I was looking at the dyno chart and she made 229.05 at the rear wheels not too shabby :D Anyway she's a 2002 S in artic silver with black partial leather interior. Has the sport package, 18 " wheels, heated seats and some other goodies. Has the LN Engineering IMS Solution along with new MAF, AOS, and all maint. items up to snuff. She is VERY quick it's going to be hard to keep her reined in !!! Hope you enjoy the pics SmileWavy

I just cant get myself to buy a boxster, no matter what year. It looks like the front wont match the rear. I did see a modifed one 2 years ago and loved it. But I'm one of those guys who likes something a bit out of the normel. Hope you enjoy it, looks nice.

You're going to love that car I love mine

On my 986 S, I wound up with some very inexpensive ebay stainless, cat-less tube headers, no secondary cats, and set of large diameter Borla glasspacks on the back- it sounded like a 911 Cup car.
Amazing sounding car. The exhaust saved a lot of weight at the rear. That, along with stripping all the sound deadening, rear shelf and speakers and foam, spare tire and other stuff in the front and the car weighed around 2800 lbs with about 280 horsepower. It was quick, tons of toque, lots of fun in the southern CA sun. More than I would have had in a hard top 911. I'm still sad I sold that car; I didn't have the room for it. |
Schumi how well did the cheap Ebay headers fit ? I see several vendors selling either 304 or 321 SS headers for not much money relatively speaking. I may go with some headers, one pair of high flow cats and maybe a modified stock muffler. I am not looking for any muffler that is going to give drone or excessive noise but a little extra bark is fine.
