I went to this movie over the weekend. it is a documentary about mass murder and impunity in Indonesia. The death squads killed over 1 million alleged communists. In the movie you find out they were just killing to kill though. It is deeply disturbing and very depressing. the death squad gangsters tell horrible stories of killing people lightheartedly and proud. They proudly reenact some of the ways they killed people to the camera. it was painful to watch at times.

I guess it is possible for a film to be horrible and great at the same time.
