I would wait for them to finish up in the courts. They are being sued in several states.

I think it's one of the greatest ideas ever and hope they can make it works against all of the cable co. opposition.

The short of it is, they put up a bunch of tv antennas, and allow people to watch over the air broadcasts on the internet. So you could watch local NY tv in LA or where ever they have put up antennas.
This would allow you to watch a sports game in a blacked out area, or get your news three hours early, depending on where you are, and you would be able to avoid the bank that is being robbed an hour before they tell you on your local news! The crux of the suits is that Aereo is rebroadcasting network tv without explicit permission. |
