Ducati SS custom fairing. Opinions? How to cut it?

I have 93 SS with full side panels. They are safely packed away. I want make some very compact fairings, much smaller than the CR half fairings. The only tricky point being that I don't want to cut the subframe that holds the cowling/instruments in place. So that means the first support bolt (the one just under the turn signal) has to stay. I picked up a CR panel and taped it off in the shape I was thinking of. The tape and everything to the left would be trimmed away.

What do you think? I know it will look late 80s/early 90s funky, but thats ok. I'm going for that.

Any suggestions on cutting the fairing? I was planning on a fine tooth blade in a sabre saw. I could also go after it with with a multi-tool.

Don't use anything with teeth on it. Use an abrasive cutoff disc in a Dremel tool or a die grinder.

Oh, and I think it will look great. Kinda almost naked, in a Borat sling kinda way...

+1 on the disc idea.
