$75k? Holy Schidtsnacks!
Ah, here's the problem: I bought the single cab from Drew Colome in 2005

If I were single, I would not only buy this...I would live in it.

...at that price I would have to live it married, probably more than if I were single!

A few years ago I passed on a really clean, rust free "hobby" restored early '60s single cab for $5000. I wish I could come across something like that now.

What a fantastic ad. Should be the standard for how to sell stuff.
Excellent photos, excellent descriptive text, lots of details, and very user friendly! As to the single cab and trailer - VERY nice and VERY special. I wouldn't blame anyone for pricing this ensemble for $75K. It's not like they're making 'em anymore....

So I guess the 63 Double Cab I bought in 1987 for $275 and sold in 1989 for $450 is worth more now?
Robin egg blue. Top landspeed of 45mph. Only car I've ever named, Beasley.

I have seen this set up at several vintage trailer rally's on the central coast. Probably will see it this weekend at a place called Ocean Mesa. While the single cab is very well done the trailer is the gem of the two. Together I can see the price point and if I had the means I would buy it.
But with 3 kids headed to college in the coming years I will have to pass ![]() I am not enough up on the vintage VW scene to know if Drew Colome is a good or bad thing but based on Toms tone it is another reason the price may seem high and I respect Toms opinion and knowledge of early VW's
