Didn't want to hijack nostatic's thread.

I know there is no answer but just for conversation.

The middle east, Iraq hates Iran, everyone hates Israel, and so on...

You ask why this is so in a modern age and usually you get "because it has always been that way"

American civil war... America and England fight it out... lots of people died.

Fast forward to today... anyone messes with mother England and America will kick you a$$!!! Now lets go out for fish and chips.

WWII... Germany bombs the poop out of England... England and America bomb the crap out of Germany... lots of people die... Japan attacks America... America NUKES Japan... lots of people die.

Fast forward to today... lets jump in out German car and go out for sushi!

Yes, I am grossly oversimplifying those two historical events but my point being less than a hundred years ago the Japanese and Germans were openly vilified in, posters, cartoons, movies that depicted them as being the embodiment of evil.

Now we have awakened that we are just human beings and pretty much the same and made nice with our previous enemies.

So why is it the middle east can't get the epiphany that we all are part of the human race and stop wasting their resources fight each other?

It was either Dennis Miller or Bill Maher (I think it was one of those two anyway), that said:

When there are only two living organisms left on the earth, they will be in the Middle East and trying to kill each other.

Religion is the basis of the problems in the middle East. Sunnis hate Shiites and both hate Jews / Israel and other infidels.

None of the other conflicts you mention were religion based, they were more economics based.

American fight for independance... but then a lot of people died in the civil war and we pertty much all get along now too.

Even if one has no faith, or faith in God, reading the Bible of what was going on 2000 years ago...honestly, other than we smell better, have refrigeration and a "smart" phone, the game has not changed one iota.

Human being's have no game to hunt anymore as we did for thousands of years. Now we just prey on each other in some way, shape or form. A few bright spots here and there in humanity, but collectively, we are a steaming pile of you-know-what.

I have always said that there is nothing more dangerous than a true believer. It really doesn't matter what you believe in if you truly believe you will go that extra mile. So some of use believe that abusing a women is wrong and we would go that extra mile to stop it if we saw that happening. "They" believe anyone that doesn't or isn't a true believer is less then them and they don't matter as they are "infidels". I have met great people in my life as short as it's been but those true believers are dangerous. Just sayin. As said above most of the conflicts have been economically based, these people are killing each other for there GOD. Dangerous.
