Great color Steve. Why is the engine out?

He had a long ad on CL about all the work he did to it. I asked if it was him or a shop. So he sent me this photo from a couple of years ago. I'm still evaluating if I want to do this...and probably really won't do it until the fall....I'd make it a daily driver. That is a gorgeous car at least thru the net.

Well, I picked up the car in GA and made the ~1200km trip home with no worries...apart from an absolute jerk of a US Customs agent. Beyond that, the trip was fine and the car ran great! The paint was a bit tired from the GA sun, but I spend ~8 hours on the weekend correcting the paint. It looks great now!
Anyways...thanks again for the suggestions when looking for my car. Affordable 996s are out there...you just need to put in the time and effort to find one. https://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/58...0/836/ujqi.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img836/9901/ihuk.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img845/3812/oxkn.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img843/2090/aji41.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img835/8871/ap28.jpg http://imageshack.com/a/img845/9262/2red.jpg |
Does that car have no speakers in the doors? They look like pockets where the speakers would be.

No speakers in the door. The 10+ speaker deal was an option IIRC. I don't need any speakers...I ordered a Fister D exhaust! :) |
Yup, I believe the door speakers were part of the "hifi package". Just think of it as a lightweight door panel.:)
