Custom spoon part question......
Looking for a Weaver rail for a Model 66 Smith and Wesson. Wanna do something fun. Anyone have some advice?
Top mount to replace the rear sight. |

I had a Weaver base on a 617 for a while, if I can find it tomorrow you can have it.

Hummm, looks like the rail is for a much longer barreled version. I have one on our Hog Hunter but it has a 6 inch barrel. I did have to redo the mounting holes in the rail but once I did that it worked okay. I put an early halo-type sight on it and it is nearly as good as a laser and you can shoot with both eyes open.

Width you can't get away from - it is part of the definition (and spec in the case of picatinny 1913 or whatever the milspec version is)
I'd get a longer piece w/ no attachment holes in it, cut it to whatever length you want and have holes drilled wherever you want. I know of a business that uses lengths of it, I may be able to get you a piece if needed. |
Sorry the rail didn't work. Looked like the right part on the website (I assumed incorrectly you had a longer barrel 66 from your first post.) Really irritating when you explain to the salesman what you have and what you need and they still send you the wrong part. Sorry again.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...eys/hiding.gif

100 rounds and dead on at 25 yards. The web of my hand hurts as I was practicing with full loads.
At 10 yards I made a smile on a Lonely wolf target face  Timed 3.5 seconds on a speed loader dump and reload. Since my .45 is not legal in some states, I need to keep current on my back ups. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1398900932.jpg |
