Californian licence plates question

My very early red 911 SC originally came from California and ended up in Australia in the late 1990s

It had Californian licence plates number 1PJT151.

Do these numbers have any meaning, additional to the sequential registration?
For example, can you tell the original town or city where the car was first registered from this licence plate?

Is there any way of finding more information about the cars early life?
Thanks
Peter

Nope, no meaning. Just whatever was on the shelf at the DMV or what was coming off the stamp at San Quentin. Unless you ordered personalized plates.

If you were trying to register the car today, they would make you give up the blue plates and put new ones on the car. If they were black plates, they would be worth something to someone in CA. They let you put those plates on collector vehicles.

The first two symbols represent that cars aura, in this case first level sub level P. The second, third, and fourth symbols represent the cars alternate existence in a parallel universe, in that parallel universe this was James Taylors first car. The last two show that the car spent some time in area 51.

For any more information I would have to consult my crystals and charge you a consulting fee ;)

Run a Car Fax on the VIN.

You can do the CA emissions history with the plate. http://www.bar.ca.gov/pubwebquery/vehicle/pubtstqry.aspx

I lived in California for a few years and it seemed as if all of the SoCal plates started with a '1' as does yours. Not sure of the correlation but that's been my observation.

They all used to be three letters, three numbers.....they added a "1" when they ran out.

They also "allowed" personalized plates for an up front fee and more $$ every year. Now they "let" you use period correct plates, they are different colors depending on the decade.....bend over.
