Metal shop brands?

I'm looking to have a metal shop put in on my property (40acres). What brands do pelicans have and what do u like or would change. Looking to build about 3000 sf. I'm going to pay to have it put up and I'll do the finish work.

You mean a steel workshop.

When I read metal shop I think of Mr. T back in HS and his constant condemnation when guys were goofing off, "Hey, if you wanna play with something go play with yourself" as he pointed at the offenders with half a finger.

Don't know if you have a Mueller in your area. I have purchased from them in the past, it is heavy gauge and has a 30yr warranty on the finish coloring alone...

Yes steel workshop. I want to use it as storage, then later as my home workshop. My goal is to simi retire in a few years and work from home.

Go over to garage journal and do some browsing/searching. LOTS of guys with metal building shops over there. It's probably very location dependent as well.

Nucor does good stuff - I don't know if they go as small as you're looking for.

The small (2400 SF or less) metal buildings I've seen around here have pretty uniformly been crap. CA building code and enforcement my help prevent that out there. I was shocked at the number of relatively new steel buildings that had roof failures around here this year. The snow was challenging here but it's not like we set a record.

In my experience I've seen much better built pole buildings than steel buildings. I don't know if that's an option out there.

I did a balloon frame on my shop (1900 SF) - but I designed and built it myself.

+1 It all depends on size and budget. Under 3000 Sqft conventional slab on grade is the least expensive in these parts.

Morton Buildings has many options.

Also consider Rhino, Steel Buildings | Metal Buildings | Rhino Steel Building Systems

no experience with them, yet, but looking to have them quote a 40x60.
