If only I had the money...
|
Just gorgeous.
|
Unbelievable price! It would be interesting to know what it sells for. G:):)
|
Nice bus, but I would never buy one. I grew up around these as work vehicles, not lifestyle vans, so I don't see the attraction. Also have a buddy that almost was killed in one ...

IIRC an little older one just as nice sold at auction for $198K.
IMO many are over restored. For some reason this one just works for me - it's gorgeous. But my favorites are survivors! |
Wow Byron, that could be me. I spent many happy hours in my 1960 VW bus. Boy the stories I could tell.
|
So many other rear engined air cooled cars I'd buy for that price first.
|
Can we buy it as a group like an old airplane? Keep it in SoCal? :)

They are cool, until you drive one. They handle like a bus!

It reminds me of my old Kombie. Other than having no brakes it was an excellent vehicle. Edit. I'm sure they forgot to put the decimal place in that price. |
A bud of mine is into old VW buesse.
He had a rusted hulk of a 21 window. Bought it for 18000. I thought he was nuts. Sold it within 10 days for $28000. A guy in Germany had offered him $36000. Incredible the prices on old split window buesse. How many were turned into I-beams?? Carter |
